Terms of Service

• "User" - any person using the Platform.
• "Client" - a user looking for contractors for construction and related work.
• "Contractor" - a company or individual tradesperson offering services through the Platform.
• "Request" - a description of required work posted by a client.
• "Response" - a contractor's reply to a request, including a possible estimate.
• "Content" - any materials posted by users: texts, photos, reviews, documents.
• "Paid Features" - features provided for a fee (for example, access to contact details or TOP placement).

We may amend these Terms, including when the law, the Platform's features or the terms of paid services change. The current version with its update date is always published on this page.

We will give advance notice of material changes on the site or by e-mail. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the new version. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform and, if you wish, request deletion of your account.

The Platform may be used by persons with legal capacity who are at least 18 years old. By registering an account on behalf of a company you confirm that you are authorised to act on its behalf.

• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• One user (or one company) may hold one account unless otherwise agreed with us.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity in your account.
• If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at info@builders.cy.

Certain features may require e-mail address confirmation.

The Platform is an intermediary information service: we provide tools for searching, posting requests, responding and communication between clients and contractors.

• We are not a party to agreements between clients and contractors.
• We are not a contractor, agent or employer of either party.
• We do not guarantee that a contract will be concluded, the availability of jobs or contractors, the quality, timing, cost or result of the work, or the solvency of the parties.

The parties agree on scope, price, timing and warranties directly. We strongly recommend signing a written contract and checking the contractor's documents before work starts.

Browsing the contractor catalogue and searching are free. Posting requests is free; a request must describe a genuine need for work.

Access to a contractor's contact details (phone, WhatsApp, Telegram) may be provided for a fee. The price is shown before payment. Access is granted immediately after payment and remains available while the contractor's profile and your account exist.

By accepting a contractor's response to your request you agree that your contact details will be shared with that contractor for communication about the job.

Profile information (name, contractor type, description, services, work cities, portfolio) must be accurate and relate to your own business. Only photos of your own work may be used in the portfolio.

Responding to requests may be subject to a fee (pay per response). The current price is shown before you act. A response must be substantively related to the request.

TOP placement is paid promotion of your card in the catalogue for the paid period. The card is marked "TOP". Promotion does not affect ratings or reviews and does not guarantee orders.

Client contact details obtained through the Platform may be used only for communication about the relevant job.

Verification is voluntary. To obtain a badge, a contractor provides documents (for example, a certificate of company registration or a licence).

Badges (such as "Trusted" or "Licensed") reflect only the fact that the submitted documents passed our check at the time of review. They are not a guarantee of the quality of work.

We may revoke a badge if the provided information turns out to be inaccurate or no longer valid.

Prices are stated in euro and shown before purchase. Where applicable, VAT is included in or added to the price in accordance with the laws of Cyprus and the EU.

We may change the prices of paid features; changes do not affect periods already paid for or access already granted.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full card details.

The Platform's paid features are digital services performed immediately: access to contacts, placement or promotion is provided right after payment.

By paying for such a service you expressly consent to its immediate performance and acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal provided by EU consumer law.

If a service was not actually delivered due to a technical failure, write to info@builders.cy - we will restore access or refund the payment.

Reviews may only be based on a real experience with the contractor (an order completed through the Platform or unlocked contact details).

• Knowingly false, commissioned or abusive reviews, and using a review as a means of pressure, are prohibited.
• Contractors may not incentivise positive reviews or obstruct negative ones.
• Reviewing yourself, your employees or your competitors is prohibited.

We may remove a review that violates these rules. We do not edit ratings and do not remove truthful negative reviews at a contractor's request.

You retain the rights to your content. By posting content you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display it as part of operating the service (including thumbnails, interface translations and search indexes).

You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to the content you post and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

• Prohibited content: unlawful; infringing copyright or other rights; abusive or discriminatory; misleading; spam; containing malicious code.

We may remove or hide content that violates the Terms without prior notice. To report content, write to info@builders.cy.

• circumventing paid features, including by publishing contact details in open fields for that purpose;
• collecting Platform data by automated means (scraping, parsing) without our written consent;
• using other users' contact details for mailings or purposes unrelated to a specific job;
• impersonating another person or organisation;
• interfering with the Platform: overloading infrastructure, probing or exploiting vulnerabilities, distributing malicious code;
• creating accounts by automated means or manipulating metrics (views, responses, ratings).

The Platform, its code, design, logos, interface texts and databases belong to us or are used under licence and are protected by intellectual property law.

Copying, modifying or distributing elements of the Platform without our written permission is prohibited. Linking to Platform pages is allowed.

The Platform uses third-party services (payment providers, e-mail delivery, browser push notifications). Their operation is governed by their own terms.

The Platform may contain links to external sites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that the service will meet your expectations, or data preservation in circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We may change, suspend or discontinue individual features, giving advance notice of material changes where reasonably possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profit, loss of data or goodwill, or for damage arising from the relationship between clients and contractors.

The Platform's aggregate liability to a user on any grounds is limited to the amount paid by that user to the Platform in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for intent, gross negligence, or harm to life and health) or diminishes mandatory consumer rights.

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to an account for violation of the Terms, fraud, review manipulation, creating risks for other users, or where required by law. Where reasonably possible, we will notify you of the reason and give you an opportunity to respond.

You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time by writing to info@builders.cy. The unused remainder of a paid period is not compensated, except where required by law.

Provisions that by their nature survive termination (including those on liability, content and disputes) remain in force.

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. This does not deprive consumers of the protection of mandatory rules of their country of residence.

We aim to resolve disputes by negotiation - write to info@builders.cy and we will reply within a reasonable time. If a dispute is not resolved, it is submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Cyprus; consumers may also apply to the courts of their place of residence where the law so provides.

Consumers in the EU may use the European online dispute resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

If any provision of the Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force. Our failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of it.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms in the event of a reorganisation or business transfer, with notice to users.
